Description
Implement, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse infrastructure systems, including:
Multi-purpose hosting
Virtualized environments
Big data analytic systems
Cloud environments
Real-time systems
Business management information systems
Logging and monitoring systems
Hardware
Active Directory
Linux/Unix, Windows, or OSx-based systems
Storage Area Networks (SAN)
LAN and WAN networking
Other infrastructure-related components
Review and test infrastructure components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
Resolve reported system issues.
Utilize infrastructure engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development/test/production environment.
Provide input to the component system design, including:
Hardware/software trade-offs
System reuse
Use of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS)
Requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual system components, with a particular emphasis on complex networking topics.

Relevant Experience
System Integration, Administration & Network Engineering: Execute tasks related to system integration, system administration, or network engineering, including troubleshooting complex issues like IPSec, VXLan, FWs, Load Balancing, DNS, VDI, and thin client architectures.
IT & Telecommunication Systems Development: Contribute to the development of sections within IT and telecommunication systems.
Security Administration: Implement and manage security solutions, including enterprise antivirus, malware detection, intrusion detection, and audit solutions.
Open Source & Cloud Technologies: Leverage experience with Open Source tools like Snort, and Cloud technologies like OpenStack, Hadoop, and Cloudera.
AWS Expertise: Apply knowledge of Amazon Web Services platforms and solutions.
Infrastructure Design & Delivery: Design and deliver infrastructure solutions based on technical requirements.
Project Collaboration: Contribute as a senior member within complex projects, working collaboratively as part of an integrated product team.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers and address their needs directly.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline and seven (7) years of experience in infrastructure engineering is required
An additional four (4) years of infrastructure experience on projects with similar engineering processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
